General Description:
Water is a prime resource in New Mexico and this acreage has 40 acres of water rights as well as four wells for irrigation and domestic use. The area is completely secluded except for the road that accesses it. A hillside spring flows continuously and was used historically for domestic use in an adobe home still located in the valley.
Improvement Notes:
An old, small adobe home is on the upper portion of the valley acreage. The wells are about 150 ft. to 190 ft.deep with water at 80 ft. to 100 ft. depths. One of the irrigation wells with a 10-horse power motor pumped a sustained 300 gal./min flow rate.
The acreage was originally used to grow alfalfa.
